2008 Budget Day – What are we doing?
Alistair Darling presents his first Budget this Wednesday with an expected start time of 12.30pm. We would like to tell you about our plans for updating our web site.
We have a team of writers ready to distil the Press Releases and update our website. Our team is headed up by Mark Lloydbottom who has a panel of experts in personal and business tax and VAT at his disposal.
News Added Soon After Announcement Completed
This web site will be updated shortly after the Budget with between four or five news articles. These will be written by Ian Beck, our Chief News Editor, as is happens!
The Budget Coverage – What Happens and When?
Mark and his team will be studying the Press Releases and will complete this work by between 7pm-8pm. The Report is hot reviewed during the evening and following this our technical team will work on design, layout and the html conversion before loading this onto our site and making it live. This has previously been achieved shortly
before midnight.
Between 8pm and 8am Thursday 13 March the Budget Report will be cold reviewed by Rebecca Benneyworth and her cold review team. Rebecca is a principle contributor to AccountingWeb. This means that when you arrive at work on Thursday morning you will have access to an up to date and technically correct Budget Report.
After the initial Budget content has been completed work will commence on updating the remainder of the content including the financial planning guide. This content will be updated before the new tax year.
