Accountancy firm up for top award
Peterborough accountancy firm, GreenStones are finalists in this year’s National Accountancy Awards.
The company, which is one of only five finalists from across the UK to be short-listed in the “Small Firm of the Year” category of the national awards scheme, run by the magazine for the accountancy profession, Accountancy Age. The awards celebrate excellence, customer focus and service innovation in accountancy.
"This can only be great news for Peterborough businesses - to have such a high quality advisor on their doorsteps," said Simon Chaplin, managing director of GreenStones, who are based in Lynchwood.
"This is the first time we've been short-listed by Accountancy Age and we're delighted. Last year we were highly commended in the workforce development category of the Peterborough Evening Telegraph awards and the year before we were winners of the Added Value Networks Midlands firm of the year award.”
"This is a national award and there are about 20,000 accountancy firms in the UK, so to be named in the top five is really special. It sends a clear message to our firm's clients that they've made the right choice in business advisors.
Judges for the awards include Alex Horne, Managing Director of Wembley Stadium, Ian Dyson, Finance Director of Marks & Spencer and Michael Starkie, Chief Accounting Officer of BP. The winners of the awards will be announced at a glittering ceremony in London on Wednesday, November 12.
